Brighouse Miniature Railway.

Please check before Traveling as this info was given before the pandimic?

Ravensprings Park is home of Brighouse’s own miniature Railway a non-profit making charity who members are all none paid volunteers who run this great little local treat.

Original the site was thought to be a kind of hobby for the original owner Mr D. Miller (Millers Oils) who lived opposite the entrance of this small park, the site was established in 1934 originally having a boating lake surrounded by a model or Miniature rail track, it is thought Mr Miller opened the park several weekends a year for locals to enjoy as well as giving the children a great treat and entirely free.

It is thought in the late 60s the site was obtained by the current group who formed the current registered charity ‘Ravensprings Miniature Railway Park’,   later the track was extended and the lake filled in and grassed due to vandals, the site opens several times a year and currently (2019) charges admission per person £3 for Adults and £2 for children and concessions, this gives them unlimited rides throughout the afternoon.(sounds good value to me).

Unfortunately the car park is very small and limited to Disabled Badge Holders only, There is on street parking but please show some consideration to the residents and do not obstruct their access.
