Well the Brighouse 40’s Weekend has arrived with an amazing turnout especially the old cars, also Bethel Street Car Park is a great place with a great display of Army Vehicles, Charity Stalls and even some 40/50’s type dancing, did you all see that amazing small model horse on one of the charity stalls by the Canal side?
On the streets ‘Around-Brighouse’ they were filled with an array of Stalls, Vehicles as well as possibly one of the biggest turnouts of people walking round in 40/50’s outfits the show has ever attracted, one person on the corner of Bethel Street and Park Street was totally AMAZING as this statue type lady holding a Squeeze Box until someone put some money in her collection tub then she burst to life jigging about on her stool and playing her Squeeze Box, you have to see this to understand how good she is?
Another great act was on the stage in Thornton Square as a copy of George Formby complete with his Ukulele and even had time to clean some windows! So he said? This was really good.
Don’t Forget to call in at the Brighouse Market Which is Really Looking Good.
I wonder what you liked at the Brighouse 40’s Weekend or if you missed it, I will try to add more pictures in the ‘News’ section later and if I can I will add a video? Please let me know your thoughts Brian.
